This is a photo of the original rug, hooked in 1920, by Mabel Place.
I love this pattern of a horse, with bridle, standing in a dark, oval shape. A starburst of multi-colored bands radiate from the oval and end with a cut felt, sawtooth edge. The pattern comes with the edge drawn, to hook or to cut the saw toothed edge with felt. I love the colors and I would use textures in the bands of color!
